The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) opens registration for the WBJEE 2026 exam tomorrow, March 10. Students can apply online at wbjeeb.nic.in. The application window closes on April 4. A correction window will be open from April 7 to April 9 for form edits.
Exam Schedule and Dates
The WBJEE 2026 admit card will be released on May 15. The examination is scheduled for May 24. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. Paper 1 (Mathematics) is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Application Fees
Application fees vary by category. General male candidates must pay ₹500. General female candidates and reserved category male candidates pay ₹400. Reserved category female candidates pay ₹300. Third gender candidates pay ₹200.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 or equivalent examination. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects. Candidates must also have passed with at least 30% marks in English. One elective subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or a technical vocational subject is required.
The minimum age requirement is 17 years as of December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit, except for Marine Engineering candidates, who must be 25 years or younger.
Exam Pattern
The WBJEE 2026 exam is offline. It uses a pen-and-paper format. The total exam duration is 4 hours. There are two papers, each lasting 2 hours. The exam is administered in English and Bengali. It features 155 multiple-choice questions.
