Tamil Nadu Class 12 exams for Chemistry, Accountancy, and Geography start tomorrow, March 9, 2026. The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) is conducting these public exams. The examination period runs from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM.
Exam Details
Students have a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete each paper. This time includes a 15-minute reading period before writing begins. Around 827,475 students are expected to sit for the Class 12 board exams statewide. This figure comprises 799,692 regular students and 27,783 private candidates.
Paper Structure and Marks
Each subject paper is out of a total of 100 marks. For Chemistry and Geography, the marks are divided into 70 for theory, 20 for practicals, and 10 for internal assessment. Accountancy papers consist of 90 marks for theory and 10 marks for internal assessment.
