TS EAMCET 2026: 5 Test Zones Frozen by JNTU Hyderabad

JNTU Hyderabad has frozen five test zones for the 2026 TS EAMCET exams. The affected districts are Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Adilabad, and Nizamabad. This decision follows a surge in applications exceeding the capacity of existing centers in these areas.

The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) convener, Vijaya Kumar Reddy, confirmed the freezing of these zones. He stated that the high volume of applications from these districts surpassed the allocated capacity. Consequently, these zones will not appear as options during new candidate registrations.

TS EAMCET 2026 Exam Schedule and Registration

The TS EAMCET 2026 exam for agriculture and pharmacy is scheduled for May 4 and 5. Engineering entrance exams will take place from May 9 to 11. JNTU Hyderabad is conducting these exams on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

As of the latest reports, 96,892 candidates have registered for the TG EAPCET. Of these, 64,861 applied for the engineering stream, and 31,918 applied for the agriculture and pharmacy streams. A total of 113 candidates have submitted applications for both streams.

Registration Deadlines and Late Fees

Candidates can register for the TS EAMCET 2026 without a late fee until April 4 . The application window for edits will be open from April 6 to April 8.

A late fee of Rs 250 applies to applications submitted by April 10. The fee increases to Rs 500 for applications submitted by April 15.

Further late fee options are available: Rs 2,500 until April 20 and Rs 5,000 until April 24. Candidates applying with these higher late fees will be assigned test centers in the Hyderabad IV zone .

JNTU-Hyderabad has reintroduced the option to apply with a late fee of Rs 10,000. These applications will be accepted from April 25 to May 2.
