Kerala SSLC 2026 Exams Start March 5: Key Dates Announced

Kerala’s Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations will commence on March 5, 2026 . A total of 4,17,497 students are registered to take the Class 10 board exams across the state.

Exam Details and Schedule

The examinations will be held at 3,031 centers. The SSLC exams are scheduled to conclude on March 30, 2026 . Results are expected by the third week of May 2026.

Pre-exam activities included IT practical exams from February 1 to February 14, 2026, and model examinations from February 16 to February 20, 2026.

Gulf and Lakshadweep Centers

A total of 633 applicants will sit for exams at seven centers in the Gulf region. Additionally, 386 students are registered at nine centers in Lakshadweep.

However, exams scheduled for March 5, 6, and 7 in the Gulf region have been postponed due to regional security concerns. New dates for these centers will be announced later. The schedule for students in Kerala and Lakshadweep remains unchanged.

Higher Secondary and VHSE Examinations

The Kerala Higher Secondary (Plus Two) results will be announced on May 22, 2026 .

The Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE) stream also has significant student numbers. There are 26,829 first-year students and 26,826 second-year students registered across 389 VHSE centers.

Approximately 3,700 teachers are assigned to VHSE duties. Eight specialist valuation camps will support the VHSE valuation, starting April 6, 2026, after theory exams conclude.

Administration and Security

Over 26,000 teachers will be involved in invigilation duties statewide to ensure a fair examination process.

Answer sheets have been received by all 41 District Educational Offices. Question papers are stored securely in treasuries and bank lockers following a sorting process.
