Patna University Students’ Union elections results announced Saturday night show the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) securing the president and general secretary positions. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won two seats. Team Osama secured the vice president post.
Election Results Breakdown
Shantanu Shekhar of NSUI won the presidency. He defeated JD(U)’s Prince Kumar by 1,496 votes. Khushi Kumari, also from NSUI, won the general secretary seat. She defeated Chhatra RJD’s Pratyush Raj by 553 votes.
Team Osama’s Sifath Faiz secured the vice president position. He narrowly beat Chatra JD(U)’s Ayush Harsh by 71 votes. The ABVP claimed the joint secretary and treasurer posts.
Abhishek Kumar won the joint secretary position for ABVP. Harsh Vardhan of ABVP secured the treasurer seat.
Party Performance
Candidates backed by the JD(U) and the RJD did not win any seats. This marks a significant outcome for those parties’ student wings in this election cycle.
