NEET UG 2026 Application Deadline March 8

The application deadline for the NEET UG 2026 examination is March 8. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is accepting registrations for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical programs. Interested candidates must apply through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

Following the application closure, the NTA will provide a correction window from March 10 to March 12. This allows registered candidates to modify any errors in their application details. The NEET UG 2026 exam is scheduled for May 3. It will be conducted in a single shift, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

NEET UG 2026 Exam Details

The exam covers Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). It consists of 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total marks for the exam are 360.

Each correct answer earns four marks. One mark is deducted for each incorrect response. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.

Required Documents for Application

Applicants must upload several documents to complete their NEET UG 2026 application. These include a scanned photograph, signature, and thumb impression. A valid mobile number is also mandatory.

Candidates will also need to provide Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, percentage details, and a government ID proof. A citizenship certificate and an embassy certificate may be required depending on the candidate’s status.

The NTA advises candidates to update their Aadhaar Card, UDID Card, and Category certificate before applying.

NEET UG is the entrance exam for various undergraduate medical courses. This includes Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

Other programs include Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH), Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Military Nursing Service (BSc Nursing (MNS)).
