IIM Mumbai Placements 2026: Highest Package Rs 71.4 LPA

IIM Mumbai announced its 2026 placement results , with students securing a highest domestic package of Rs 71.4 lakh per annum. The placement drive successfully placed 502 students. The average package offered was Rs 47.5 lakh annually.

Placement Highlights

A total of 505 students participated in the placement process for MBA, MBA-OSCM, and MBA-Sustainability programs. 502 job offers were extended, while three students chose to pursue their own ventures.

The top 10% of students received an average package of Rs 47.5 lakh. The top 20% of students averaged Rs 41.4 lakh. The top 50% of students secured an average of Rs 34.5 lakh.

Over 200 companies participated as recruiters. This included more than 50 new companies that recruited from IIM Mumbai for the first time.

Key Hiring Domains

Consulting emerged as the leading sector, attracting 123 job offers. The Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector saw a 33% increase in hiring compared to the previous year. Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) recruitment grew by 24%.

Logistics hiring also increased. This growth was supported by the institute’s specialized MBA-OSCM program. Students were placed in functions including general management, product management, IT, operations, and marketing.

Participating Companies

Major companies participating in the drive included Microsoft, ITC, Amazon, and Accenture. Other recruiters were Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive, Diageo, Flipkart, Godrej Group, Hindustan Unilever, L’Oreal, Nestle, P&G, PwC US Advisory, Reliance Industries, and Tata Administrative Services.

New recruiters like Aequitas Investments, African Industries, Arvind Fashions Limited, and Bayer offered roles. These included positions in both domestic and international markets.

Director’s Statement

IIM Mumbai Director Manoj Kumar Tiwari stated that the placements reflect the institute’s adaptability to industry demands. He highlighted the growth in BFSI and AI-related roles. Tiwari noted that graduates are now positioned as change agents in an evolving digital landscape.
