Telangana Introduces AI Education, Breakfast Scheme in Schools

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced new educational initiatives this week. These include the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) education in schools and polytechnics. Students completing AI courses in polytechnics will receive immediate industry placements.

AI Education Rollout

AI education will begin at the school level across Telangana. The state plans to transform ITIs into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs). Officials are organizing short-term AI training programs for teachers. This aims to update their skills with evolving technology.

New Public Schools and Infrastructure

One hundred new Telangana Public Schools will open next academic year. These schools will be established in 100 assembly constituencies, excluding Hyderabad. Each school will feature playgrounds and advanced classrooms.

Engineers will build 12 government schools in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area. These will follow corporate school standards. The Chief Minister assured funding for government school development.

Breakfast Scheme Launch

A breakfast scheme will start in all government schools in the 2026-27 academic year . Students will receive milk under this program. Officials will monitor student nutritional needs.

Private School Fee Regulation

The Telangana Private Schools Fee Regulatory Monitoring Commission submitted its report on fee regulation. A committee will decide private school fee structures. This committee will be headed by a retired judge or chief secretary. The draft fee structure will be publicly available for feedback.
