NBEMS Sets AI in Healthcare Live Stream Record

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) set a Guinness World Record on Wednesday. The record is for the “most viewers of an artificial intelligence in healthcare lesson live stream on YouTube.” NBEMS achieved this with a live stream of a training program. The program focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.

Record Achieved During Training Program

The record was established during a nationwide online training session. This session was specifically for registered medical practitioners. It aimed to teach them about AI in healthcare. The peak number of viewers watching simultaneously was 17,999 .

Program Details and Leadership

NBEMS developed the AI training program. Dr. Abhijat Sheth, NBEMS president, conceptualized the initiative. Dr. Sheth also chairs the National Medical Commission (NMC). The program’s goal is to give doctors foundational and applied knowledge of AI. It features 20 modules. These are delivered over six months. Faculty from Harvard University, IIM Lucknow, and IISc Bengaluru are involved. Participants do not pay a fee for the program.
