Revised Exam Pattern Introduced
BIEAP has implemented several changes to the AP Intermediate Exams for 2026.
First-year students now receive a 32-page answer booklet . This replaces the previous 24-page version. All answers must be contained within this single booklet. Additional sheets will not be provided. Second-year students will continue to use the standard 24-page booklet.
The syllabus has been updated. Mathematics 1A and 1B are now combined into a single paper. Botany and Zoology are also merged into one Biology paper. This reduces the total number of examinations for some students.
One-mark questions have been added to subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. This change aims to improve objective evaluation.
The AP Intermediate syllabus now aligns with NCERT guidelines. This alignment is intended to help students prepare for national-level entrance exams such as JEE and NEET.
The board has also revised the passing criteria and assessment structure. Internal and practical examinations will continue alongside theory papers for comprehensive evaluation.
