JEE Main 2026 April Registration Open: Deadline Feb 25

Registration for the JEE Main 2026 April session is now open. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the online link on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application deadline is February 25, 2026 .

JEE Main 2026 April Session Details

The JEE Main 2026 April examination is scheduled from April 2 to April 9, 2026 . Exams will be conducted in two shifts daily. The morning shift runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The afternoon shift takes place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results in February 2026 . Candidates can check their scores for B.Arch and B.Planning on the NTA website. Login requires the application number and password. Results will show percentile and rank.

Exam Structure and Progression

Students qualifying for JEE Advanced 2026 can appear for the exam. JEE Main offers two sessions. Candidates can opt for one or both. The higher score determines merit and ranking if both sessions are attempted.

Admission to IITs follows JEE Advanced qualification. Counselling is handled by JoSAA. B.Tech admissions at NITs, IIITs, and Government-funded Technology Institutes depend on JEE Main 2026 scores.

Session 1 Results Announced

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results were announced on February 16, 2026 . Approximately 13.5 lakh students appeared for this session. Twelve students achieved top ranks. Eleven of these were from the general category. One student from the OBC-NCL category secured a top rank.

How to Register for JEE Main 2026 Session 2

Follow these steps to register for the April examination:

  • Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in .
  • Click the “Registration for JEE(Main)-2026 [Session-II]” link.
  • Log in with existing credentials or register with a new email and mobile number.
  • Enter personal and academic details. Select the paper type (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan).
  • Upload photograph, signature, and required documents.
  • Choose preferred exam cities for Session 2.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Submit the form and download a copy for records.
