JKBOSE 12th Exams 2026 Begin: Passing Marks & Rules

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) 12th board exams commenced today. The examination period will run until March 28 for students in soft zone areas.

JKBOSE 12th Board Exam Schedule and Requirements

The JKBOSE Class 12th General English exam began today, February 23, 2026, for all streams. The board has set the exam schedule to conclude on March 28.

Students must bring their admit cards and school identification for verification at the exam center. The exam day starts at 10 am.

An additional 15 minutes will be provided for students to review the question paper before the exam officially starts.

Electronic devices, including mobile phones and calculators, are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Candidates are also forbidden from writing on their admit cards.

The JKBOSE warns that any use of unfair means will result in immediate expulsion.

JKBOSE 12th Passing Criteria

To pass the JKBOSE Class 12th examination, students must achieve a minimum score across theory, practicals, and internal assessments. The passing mark varies by subject.

For most subjects, students need to score at least 36% overall. The General English paper requires a minimum of 33 marks to pass.

Students must arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
