About This Scholarship
The Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for ST Students, Goa 2025 is an initiative by the Directorate of Tribal Welfare (State Schemes). This program aims to support the education of Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Goa. It provides additional financial assistance beyond Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarships, specifically designed to cover students' regular expenses such as food and travel.
Selected students will receive a scholarship award of up to ₹1,800 per month. This includes an additional maintenance allowance: ₹900 per month for day scholars and ₹1,800 per month for hostellers. An additional disability allowance of ₹900 per month is also provided for eligible students with disabilities.
The application period for this scholarship starts on 15 June 2025, with the final deadline for submissions being 15 October 2025. Candidates will be selected based on their fulfilment of the detailed eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be eligible for the Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship during the current Academic Year.
• Belong to the Scheduled Tribes Community in the state of Goa.
• Be a regular full-time student in a recognised institution or university.
• Have an annual family income below ₹5,00,000.
Required Documents
For fresh students:
• Passport size photograph
• Self-attested copy of mark sheet or passing certificate from the previous academic year
• Income certificate for the relevant year issued by the competent authority
• Self-attested copy of Scheduled Tribe certificate issued by the competent authority
• Receipt of hostel fees paid (if residing in hostel)
• Receipt of admission fees paid for the current academic year
• Self-attested copy of bank passbook linked with Aadhaar card (preferably from a national bank)
• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card
• Copy of disability certificate issued by competent authority (only for persons with disabilities)
For renewal students:
• Self-attested copy of the mark sheet or passing certificate for the exam passed in the previous academic year.
• Income certificate issued by the competent authority for the relevant year.
• Receipt of fees paid for the current year admission.
• Copy of disability certificate issued by the competent authority (only for persons with disabilities).
