Kerala NEET PG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round: Key Dates & Fees

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) in Kerala has opened registration for the stray vacancy round for postgraduate medical admissions. Eligible candidates can apply for remaining seats in government and private medical colleges. The deadline to register fresh options is February 22 , 11:59 PM, via the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. This process aims to fill seats left vacant after the third round of counseling.

Stray Vacancy Allotment Schedule

The provisional stray vacancy allotment list will be released on February 23 . The final allotment will be announced on February 24 . Candidates securing a seat must report to their assigned college between February 25 and February 28 , 4 PM. They must present required documents and pay the specified fees. Colleges must submit the final list of admitted students to CEE by February 28 , 5 PM.

Eligibility and Fees

Fresh option registration is mandatory for all candidates wishing to participate in this stray vacancy round. Candidates who were already admitted and joined seats in earlier counseling rounds (first, second, or third) are ineligible. Additionally, candidates who vacated seats after 5 PM on February 13 cannot participate.

An option registration fee is required. Candidates applying only for government medical colleges, including RCC, must pay an amount equivalent to the annual tuition fee. Those applying for self-financing colleges must pay Rs 1 lakh . Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OE categories will pay half of the prescribed fee. Those who paid the registration fee in the third round and did not get an allotment do not need to pay again but may owe the balance amount if applicable. The registration fee is refundable for eligible candidates after counseling concludes. It will be forfeited as a penalty for candidates who do not join their allotted seats.
