Andhra Pradesh Signs 7 AI Pacts for Education & Skilling

Andhra Pradesh signed seven agreements at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi on Friday. The pacts focus on higher education, advanced skilling, and school transformation. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu oversaw the signings.

AI and Skilling Agreements

The state agreed to skill one lakh individuals in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing over three to five years with IBM. This collaboration will use IBM’s digital learning platforms to equip learners with industry-relevant skills.

The United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) will establish a Centre of Excellence for AI and Quantum computing in Amaravati in 2026. UNICC brings global expertise in secure and sovereign AI.

Andhra Pradesh will establish its first South India campus of the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) in Amaravati. This campus will focus on Quantum and AI education, supported by central government funding and state resources.

Cabilo AI will partner with Andhra Pradesh to enhance AI and digital innovation. The initiative will impact over 50 higher education institutions, covering students, faculty, curriculum, and innovation labs.

A State-level AI Sandbox will be developed for governance and public services. This secure environment will be created through the Real Time Governance Society in partnership with Calibo Inc.

The Washington Institute for STEM, Entrepreneurship and Research (WISER) will establish a Centre of Excellence and Talent Hub. This falls under the Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative.

Expanding AI Reach

A State-wide AI Tech Hub will launch through a partnership with BharatGen, NexGen, and IBM. This hub will utilize a five-layer Swadeshi AI Stack. It will support 22 Indian languages and over 500 GPUs. The platform aims to aid governance, welfare, agriculture, MSMEs, and education.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras, with Bodhan AI, will deploy an AI Tutor. This program will reach government, aided, and private schools across Andhra Pradesh. The state views AI as an educational mission for its youth.
