MHT CET 2026 Registrations Hit Record 12.5 Lakh

More than 12.5 lakh students have registered for the MHT CET 2026 entrance exams. This figure represents the highest number of registrations in four years. The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell reported a 36% increase in registrations compared to last year.

Registration Deadlines Extended

The deadline to register for the MHT CET 2026 PCM and PCB exams without a late fee has been extended to February 24 . The final date to apply for the MHT CET MBA and MMS exams is now February 25 .

Students can complete the application process online. The official website is cetcell.mahacet.org.

Exam Schedule Announced

The first session of the MHT CET 2026 for engineering and pharmacy courses will run from April 11 to April 26 . A second session is scheduled for May 10 to May 17 .

The MBA and MMS exams will take place from April 6 to April 8 . The second session for these management exams is set for May 9 .

PCM Group Sees Largest Growth

The Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group has experienced the most significant rise in registrations. Over 7.32 lakh students have registered for PCM exams, up from under five lakh last year.

The PCM exam is for engineering admissions. The PCB exam is for agriculture and other programs.

Registration Without Aadhaar/APAAR Allowed

The State CET Cell now allows students to register without Aadhaar or APAAR authentication. This decision addresses technical issues students faced during the application process. No student will be prevented from taking the exam due to data mismatches, according to the CET Cell commissioner.
