The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 10 English board exam on February 21, 2026 . The examination will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Over 8,000 exam centers in India and 26 foreign countries are prepared for the test.
Passing Requirements
Students must achieve a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to pass. This includes theory, practical, and internal assessments. A Grade D is the minimum passing grade. Students must pass both theory and practical components separately for subjects with practical exams.
Exam Day Guidelines
Students should arrive at the exam center 30 to 45 minutes before the reporting time . Entry to the examination hall will not be permitted after the designated reporting time. All students must bring their CBSE-issued admit cards . Exams will not be allowed without a valid hall ticket.
Question papers and answer booklets will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam starts . This time is for students to read the questions and fill in necessary details.
Grace Marks Policy
The CBSE may award grace marks to students who are short of the passing marks by a single mark. According to board regulations, grace marks are not provided if the deficit is more than one mark.
