IGNOU Post Basic BSc Nursing Registration Open Until March 5

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened registration for its Post Basic BSc Nursing program. The deadline to apply is March 5, 2026 . Applications are for the January 2026 session.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must hold a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma. Two pathways exist for eligibility:

  • Completion of Class 12 plus a three-year GNM diploma. This requires at least two years of work experience post-registration.
  • Completion of Class 10 plus a three-year GNM diploma. This requires at least five years of professional experience post-registration.

Male nurses without midwifery training in GNM can also qualify. They need an approved nursing course certificate of 6–9 months, as per Indian Nursing Council guidelines.
