Registration for the Punjab NEET PG 2025 stray vacancy round is now open. The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) began accepting applications on February 20. Candidates must register online by 2 PM on February 21 .
The stray vacancy round is for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and PG diploma programs across government and private medical colleges in Punjab. The application link is available on the BFUHS website: bfuhs.ggsmch.org .
Registration and Security Deposit Fees
A registration fee is required for all candidates. General category applicants must pay Rs 5,900 . Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates pay a reduced fee of Rs 2,950 .
In addition to the registration fee, a security deposit is mandatory. For government medical colleges, this deposit is Rs 25,000 . SC, Backward Classes (BC), and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates pay Rs 10,000 for government colleges.
Candidates applying to private medical institutions must submit a security deposit of Rs 2,00,000 , regardless of category. This deposit is refundable if a seat is not secured.
An official notification states that if a candidate is allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round, they must join it. Failure to join will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are ineligible for the stray vacancy round if they have not registered previously. Those who have already joined or are holding a seat at the time of this round are also excluded. Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 3 but did not report are not eligible.

Provisionally selected candidates must pay the remaining fees through the university payment gateway. They will then report to their allotted college to complete the admission process by February 28, 2026 .
