Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threats; Declared Hoax

New Delhi : Three schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails Thursday morning. Emergency services responded swiftly. All threats were later confirmed as hoaxes.

Schools Targeted

The affected schools were CRPF Public School and St. Thomas’ School in Dwarka. DAV Centenary Public School in Paschim Enclave also received a threat.

Emergency Response

Fire tenders and rescue teams arrived at the school locations. Police teams, bomb disposal squads, and dog squads were deployed. Local administration officials also responded.

Students and staff were evacuated from the premises as a precaution. Search operations were conducted. No suspicious objects were found.

Investigation Underway

Delhi Police cyber teams are investigating. Efforts are focused on tracing the origin of the emails. The emails are being examined for their source and authenticity.

Police are verifying if other institutions received similar threats. In February, seven Delhi schools received hoax bomb threats. Those emails contained provocative content related to ‘Khalistan’ and planned attacks.

Parental Concern

Parents received alerts from schools shortly after dropping off their children. Many rushed back to pick them up. The experience caused significant anxiety.

Parents expressed fear and stress. They emphasized the trust placed in schools for child safety. Even hoax threats create real fear.

Technical Challenges

The emails were routed through complex networks. Virtual private networks (VPNs) and proxy servers made tracing difficult. Senders masked digital footprints.

Multiple layers of VPN connections were used. Servers in different countries were utilized. This evades detection.

Emails were sent through encrypted services. They bounced across international servers. This delays identification.

Investigators require technical assistance. Coordination with international agencies may be necessary.

Cyber Expert Involvement

Cyber experts are analyzing metadata and server logs. They are examining timing patterns for leads. The investigation aims to identify the senders.
