VVISM Launches BS Computer Science with AI & ML

Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Systems and Management (VVISM) Hyderabad has launched a new four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science program with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The degree will be awarded by Osmania University.

This program aims to equip students with essential computer science knowledge, business fundamentals, ethical considerations, and problem-solving skills. A key feature is the curriculum’s framework, approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This framework mandates students spend their first two years studying at VVISM and the subsequent two years gaining practical experience through industry apprenticeships.

Program Structure and Curriculum

The BS Computer Science curriculum covers core computer science subjects. These include data structures, algorithms, full-stack development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and Python programming. The specialization focuses on AI, ML, and Data Science, technologies identified as shaping the future of the industry.

TalentSprint, a part of Accenture, will deliver 40-50% of the program’s teaching sessions. This collaboration is designed to integrate industry expertise directly into the academic curriculum.

Admission Requirements and Selection Process

To be eligible for the BS Computer Science program, students must have completed their Class 12 examinations with at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, applicants require a valid score, rank, or percentile from any of the following standardized entrance examinations:

  • Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
  • Engineering Agriculture, Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET)
  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)
  • Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
  • Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT)
  • Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT)
  • Any other equivalent entrance exam recognized by the university.

Beyond these academic and entrance exam requirements, candidates must also successfully pass a joint entrance examination conducted by VVISM and TalentSprint. This exam serves as a mandatory step in the selection process, ensuring that admitted students are adequately prepared for the program’s demands.

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of the BS Computer Science with AI and ML program, graduates will be prepared for various technology roles. Potential career paths include AI/ML engineer, data scientist, full-stack developer, cloud engineer, and cybersecurity analyst.
