BITS Pilani Tuition-Blind Admissions for BITSAT 2026 Top Rankers

BITS Pilani has launched a new tuition-blind admissions policy. The top 500 rankers in the BITSAT 2026 entrance exam will receive full tuition scholarships. This applies to students with an annual family income up to Rs 20 lakh. Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 to keep the scholarship. The policy starts with the BITSAT 2026 admissions cycle.

Tuition-Blind Admissions Explained

This scholarship is not an application process after admission. It is an integrated part of the admission offer. BITS Pilani states this allows students to choose the institute based on merit, not financial ability. The goal is to remove affordability as a barrier for talented students.

Vice-Chancellor’s Statement

BITS Pilani Vice-Chancellor Ramgopal Rao called this a “defining step.” He said, “If you have the talent, money should not come in the way.” Rao indicated the institute plans to expand this initiative. The long-term vision is to make BITS fully tuition-blind for all admissions.
