The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 10 Mathematics exam on February 18, 2026, proceeded smoothly across the state. A total of 1,512,687 students participated in the exam held across 1,699 centres . Exams were conducted in two shifts: 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.
Exam Security and Incidents
Despite the overall smooth conduct, security measures led to the expulsion of six students. These incidents occurred at examination centres in the Bhojpur district .
Additionally, three individuals were apprehended for impersonation. Two cases were reported in the Banka district , where individuals attempted to take the exam for other registered students. One impersonator was caught in the Nawada district . These instances involved individuals attempting to sit for the exam on behalf of registered candidates.
Student Demographics
The total number of students registered for the Matric Annual Examination 2026 stands at 1,512,687. Of this total, 785,726 are girls and 726,961 are boys .
Provisions for Visually-Impaired Candidates
Special arrangements were made for visually-impaired students. These candidates took a Home Science paper , totaling 100 marks, during the first shift instead of Mathematics. They were also granted 20 additional minutes per hour to complete their examination, ensuring equitable participation.
Upcoming Examinations
The BSEB Class 10 board exams will continue with the Second Indian Language papers. These exams will also be conducted in two shifts. The morning session is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm , and the afternoon session will run from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm .
