Nearly 70 percent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) job openings are located in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. This data comes from a property consultant CBRE report analyzing over 64,500 AI job listings on Naukri.com as of December 2025.
AI Job Concentration in Major Cities
Bengaluru leads with 25.4 percent of AI jobs. Delhi-NCR follows closely with 24.8 percent. Mumbai accounts for 19.2 percent of these openings.
The CBRE report used job listings specifically tagged under AI. It clarifies this data does not represent all AI jobs in India.
Other cities also show AI job opportunities. Hyderabad has 12.5 percent, Pune has 9.6 percent, Chennai has 6.4 percent, and Kolkata has 2.1 percent.
Key AI Job Domains
Current AI roles are primarily in three sectors. These are Engineering (Software and Quality Assurance), Data Science and Analytics, and Customer Success, Service, and Operations.
Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO of CBRE India, stated AI is now vital for economic growth. He noted that global companies view India as an innovation hub, not just for service delivery.
Reasons for City Dominance
Bengaluru’s high AI hiring share is due to its many Global Capability Centres (GCCs). GCCs took over one-third of India’s office space leasing in 2025. Delhi-NCR’s AI demand comes from consulting, fintech, healthcare, and public sector projects.
