CBSE Class 12 Physical Education Exam Tomorrow: Key Details

The Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) will conduct the Class 12 Physical Education exam on February 18, 2026 . Over 18 lakh students are expected to appear for this paper. The examination will take place from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm .

Exam Details

The Physical Education paper is worth 70 marks . Students must present their CBSE Class 12 board exam admit card for entry. Entry will not be permitted after the 10:30 am reporting time.

The question paper consists of five sections and 37 questions in total. Of these, 18 questions will be multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark.

Exam Regulations

Students have a total of three hours to complete the exam. The board advises candidates to arrive at their respective exam centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Electronic devices, including mobile phones and calculators, are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

The answer booklet will be distributed 15 minutes prior to the exam commencement. This time is allocated for students to fill in their personal details and review the question paper.

Board Reforms

The CBSE has implemented several reforms for the 2026 board examinations. These changes affect the exam pattern, assessment process, and re-evaluation procedures. According to the CBSE date sheet, Class 12 exams began on February 17 and will conclude on April 10, 2026.

A notable change is the introduction of on-screen marking for Class 12 answer sheets. This system aims to reduce stress on evaluators and allow for more thorough checking of papers. Class 10 answer scripts will continue to be evaluated in a physical mode.
