About This Scholarship
Vyasakabi Fakirmohan Bhasabruti Scholarship, Odisha 2025-26, is an initiative by the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. This scholarship aims to encourage meritorious students pursuing higher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Odia language.
The scholarship provides a one-time financial grant of up to ₹30,000 to selected candidates.
The application deadline for this scholarship is February 25, 2025.
Selection will be based on a merit list derived from academic performance in the last qualifying examinations.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be a domicile in Odisha.
• Belong to the General/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/Other Backward Classes (OBC)/Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC)/Economically Backward Class (EBC) category.
For Undergraduates:
• Be enrolled in a UG (Arts) degree with Odia as an honours subject in a recognised degree college/autonomous college or university within Odisha or other states.
• Have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the Class 12 examination, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha.
For Postgraduates:
• Have taken admission in the M.A. course (Odia) in a state university/degree college or autonomous college of the state or other states.
• Have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate at the undergraduate level, as conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha.
Note: Students pursuing higher education through distance learning or correspondence courses are ineligible for this scholarship.
Required Documents
The following documents are required for the application:
• Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority such as Tahasildar or Additional Tahasildar.
• Academic transcripts/marksheets of the last qualifying examinations.
• Aadhaar-linked bank account details of the applicant.
• College/institute ID card.
• Note: If unavailable, a Letter of Undertaking authenticated by the concerned educational institution specifying the academic session, course, name, duration, and the student's roll or registration number may suffice.
• Additional documents confirming enrolment in a three-year undergraduate degree in Arts with Odia (Honours).
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:

2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to register.
• Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Navigate to the respective scholarship tab and click on the 'Apply Now' button.
4. Click on the 'Register Here' under the 'Sign In' button.
• Note: The applicants who are already registered can log in using valid credentials.
5. Read all the instructions carefully, tick the terms and conditions, and click on 'Proceed' to continue.
6. Provide the Aadhaar number and verify it to register.
7. Once registered successfully, log in to the portal.
8. Fill in the application form, upload photos and necessary documents, and click on the 'Apply' button to complete the process.
