Assam NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Allotment: 751 Qualify for MD/MS

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the third-round allotment results for the Assam NEET PG 2025 counselling. A total of 751 candidates secured seats for Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programs in state quota admissions.

Round 3 Allotment Details

Candidates can access their allotment status on the official DME Assam website, dme.assam.gov.in . This round of counselling determined admissions for the remaining state quota seats.

Category-wise Seat Allotment

The third-round allotment included 95 candidates under the Scheduled Tribes (Plains) category and 39 candidates under the Scheduled Tribes (Hills) category. Additionally, 86 candidates were selected under the State Health Quota (SHQ), and 3 candidates qualified under the Persons With Disabilities (PWD) category.

Top Choices and Reporting Deadlines

The most sought-after program in this round was the MS in General Surgery at Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati. Candidates who received seat allotments must report to their respective colleges between February 18 and February 19 .

Admission Requirements

New admits must present acknowledgement receipts or proof of certificate submission from their previous college. They must report with these documents to their allocated institution.

According to official notices, all admitted students, including those admitted through the State Health Services Quota, are required to sign a registered agreement. This agreement must be executed on Rs 100 stamp paper within two weeks of allotment, as per Assam PG Medical admission rules 2021.

Candidates with Prior Admissions

Candidates who have already secured admission through the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) must provide a copy of their resignation or surrender acceptance letter from their current college or institute. This is a mandatory step for finalizing their admission in the Assam state quota.
