AI Impact Summit 2026: Upskill for Evolving Jobs

Tech leaders at the AI Impact Summit 2026 urged workers to embrace continuous learning. They stated that artificial intelligence (AI) will reshape jobs, not eliminate them. The summit focused on the future of employment in the age of AI.

Upskilling is Key

Experts at the summit emphasized the need for employees to develop new skills. They predict significant workforce changes over the next three to five years. While some current roles may become obsolete, AI is expected to create new job opportunities.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder of Info Edge, used the historical example of computer adoption in banks. He noted that jobs were not lost. Instead, productivity increased.

Bikhchandani advised young people not to worry about policy changes. He encouraged them to focus on acquiring skills. “AI is happening, it is relentless,” he stated. “If you don’t do AI, AI will be done to you.”

He recommended setting a personal goal to learn three AI platforms within three months. “The more you do that the more your job is safe,” he added.

AI as a Multiplier

Sateesh Seetharamiah, CEO of EdgeVerve, described AI as a capability multiplier. He identified “life-long learning ability” as essential for navigating the AI landscape.

AI has boosted business productivity, Seetharamiah explained. He also noted that human oversight remains necessary for job accountability.

“So the jobs are not going anywhere, nature of jobs will change,” he said.

Job Creation and Reskilling

Vineet Nayar, Sampark Founder Chairman, projected that 50 percent of current jobs might disappear due to AI. However, he also predicted the creation of 50 percent more jobs.

These new roles will require skilled individuals to manage AI. Nayar stated that AI provides a “scope to reskill ourselves.” He stressed the importance of identifying needed skills for specific professions.

Industry leaders advised professionals to adopt AI tools. Adapting to new technologies is crucial for job security. The job market is evolving rapidly.
