The Madhya Pradesh Directorate of Medical Education (DME) has updated the MP NEET PG mop-up round merit list. This revision follows a High Court order allowing two in-service candidates to participate in the final counseling for postgraduate medical admissions. The updated list now includes 5,344 candidates, an increase of 366 from the previous tally of 4,978.
Court Orders Inclusion of In-Service Candidates
The Jabalpur High Court ruled in favor of two petitioners, Krishna Pratap Singh and Shriya Tripathi. Both candidates had previously worked as contractual medical officers and were later appointed through the Public Service Commission (PSC). The court found them eligible under the ‘in-service candidates’ category. Their eligibility was supported by documentation forwarded by their competent authority.
The court allowed the petitioners to participate in the mop-up round counseling. However, their final seat allotment is contingent upon the ultimate outcome of their petitions. The next hearing for these cases is scheduled for February 27.
