JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 Results by Feb 16

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 scorecard by February 16 . Approximately 13.5 lakh students appeared for this session.

Candidates can access their results on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in . They will need their JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 application number and password or date of birth to download the scorecard.

The JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 exam took place between January 21 and January 29 in multiple shifts.

Result Declaration and Process

The NTA uses a normalization process. This method ensures fairness for students who took the exam in different shifts. Shifts can vary in difficulty.

Raw scores are converted into standardized NTA scores, also known as percentiles. These scores range from 100 to 0.

Next Steps After Results

The NTA released the provisional answer key and response sheets on February 4. Students had until February 6 to challenge the provisional answer key. Each challenge cost Rs 200.

Around 13.5 lakh students took Session 1. Out of these, approximately 2.5 lakh students will qualify for JEE Advanced. These qualified students can opt for JEE Advanced or use their scores for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
