CM SHRI schools will begin admissions from the nursery level or Class 6. Students seeking admission to Class 6 and above will undergo aptitude tests. These tests will identify talented students. Half of the seats will be reserved for students from government and government-aided schools. This includes students from the Directorate of Education (DoE), MCD, NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Navodaya Vidyalayas.

Students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC non-creamy layer), and students with special needs will receive a five percent relaxation in eligibility criteria.
