Telangana Law entrance registration opened February 1 for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. The Telangana Council of Higher Education is now accepting applications for the TG LAWCET and TG PGLCET for the 2026-27 academic year. Osmania University will conduct the state-level entrance exam on May 18 .
TG LAWCET and PGLCET Overview
The TG LAWCET is for admission to three-year and five-year LLB programs. The TG PGLCET is for admission to two-year LLM courses. Both are offered at universities and affiliated colleges across Telangana. The exams will be computer-based tests (CBT).
Application Fees and Deadlines
The application fee for TG LAWCET is Rs 900 for general candidates and Rs 600 for SC, ST, and physically challenged candidates. For TG PGLCET, the fee is Rs 1,100 for general and Rs 900 for reserved categories.
The deadline to apply without a late fee is April 1 . Late applications with fees ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 will be accepted from April 2 to May 13.
Eligibility Criteria
For LLB admissions, candidates need a graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern). General category requires 45% marks. OBC candidates need 42%, and SC/ST candidates require 40%. For the five-year LLB, applicants must have passed intermediate or equivalent exams with the same minimum marks. Final-year students can apply but must submit their passing certificate during admission.
Exam Schedule and Details
The TG LAWCET exam will have two sessions on May 18. The five-year LLB and LLM exams will occur in the afternoon session on the same day. TG LAWCET will be administered in English, Telugu, and Urdu. TG PGLCET will be in English only.
