The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) begins its Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams on February 10, 2026 . Over 1.5 million students are registered to take the examinations across science, arts, commerce, vocational, and TechSci streams.
Exams will be conducted in two shifts daily. The morning shift runs from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM . The afternoon shift takes place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM .
Students can download their admit cards from the official MSBSHSE website, mahahsscboard.in . These admit cards are required for entry into the examination halls.
Key Examination Details
The Maharashtra Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board exams are scheduled from February 20 to March 18, 2026 . The HSC Class 12 exams conclude on March 11, 2026 .
Passing Requirements
To pass any subject in the Maharashtra HSC exams, students must achieve a minimum of 35% of the maximum marks. This applies to the total marks for the subject. For subjects with both theory and practical components, marks from all parts are combined to determine the final passing status.
Student Statistics
A total of 3,50,015 students are appearing for the HSC exams statewide. This number includes 3,22,832 fresh candidates . Repeaters total 10,081 , private candidates number 13,780 . An additional 401 ISO students and 2,921 CSI students are also taking the exams.
Malpractice Prevention
The MSBSHSE has established a state-level vigilance committee. This committee will oversee the exam conduct. Its role is to prevent malpractices at all exam centers. A dedicated coordination committee ensures monitoring and control throughout the examination period.
