Osmania University opened applications for the Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET 2026) . The exam is scheduled for May 15, 2026 . Interested candidates can apply on the official website, ecet.tgche.ac.in.
The TS ECET 2026 will be administered from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. It covers various disciplines including ECE, EIE, CSE, EEE, CIV, MEC, CHE, MIN, MET, PHM, and BSM.
Exam Details
For diploma admissions, the exam includes PCM and an engineering paper. Both sections are worth 200 marks.
For the BSc stream, candidates will be tested on mathematics, analytical ability, and communicative English. The pharmacy paper assesses Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Each of these papers is also worth 200 marks.

Purpose of TS ECET
The TS ECET exam facilitates lateral admission. It is for entry into the second year of regular BE and BTech courses. These courses are offered in university and private unaided professional institutions. These institutions must be approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The exam also allows for lateral admission into the second year of BPharmacy courses. These pharmacy programs require approval from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
