GATE 2026 Exams Start Jan 7: Important Dates & Guidelines

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 begins tomorrow, January 7, 2026. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati is conducting the exam. Candidates must bring their admit cards and necessary identification to the exam center.

GATE 2026 Exam Schedule

The GATE 2026 examinations will run for four days. Exams are scheduled in two shifts each day across India. Candidates should arrive at their exam center at least 60 minutes before the scheduled start time. The official website for GATE 2026 is gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

Exam Dates and Timings

Important Dates Summary

The GATE 2026 application process began on August 28, 2025. Regular application submissions closed on October 7, 2025. Late applications were accepted until October 13, 2025.
