The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET December 2025 results . Candidates can now check their scores for Assistant Professor eligibility and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Exam Details and Qualification
The computer-based UGC NET December 2025 exam took place nationwide from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. A total of 7,35,592 candidates appeared for the exam, which covered 85 subjects.
The NTA had previously released a provisional answer key on January 14, 2026. Candidates had until January 17, 2026, to submit objections to the answer key, with a fee of Rs 200 per question. This fee was refunded if the challenge was accepted.
Minimum Qualification Scores
To qualify for UGC NET 2025, candidates in the General category must achieve at least 40% marks in both papers. Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need a minimum of 35% marks in each paper.
These percentages represent the minimum eligibility. The final cut-off marks are determined by the NTA and vary based on the subject and competition level.
