Uttar Pradesh will establish Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zones in all 75 districts. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the project on Uttar Pradesh Day. The zones will integrate training, skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship services.
Project Details
Officials are identifying suitable land for the zones. The initiative aims to connect industrial growth with job creation. The goal is to create a single campus for youth seeking skills and employment opportunities.
The government stated these zones will offer integrated facilities. This includes support for industry, skill development, and self-employment. Multiple government departments will operate within each zone.
Infrastructure and Services
The zones will promote MSMEs and innovation. They will feature modern infrastructure like plug-and-play units and flatted factories. This aims to reduce hurdles for new businesses.
Facilities will include common centres, testing labs, and design studios. Effluent treatment plants are also planned. Entrepreneurship training and mentoring will be available.
Information on loan schemes will be provided. The zones will support skill upgrades for young people. The scheme will be implemented in phases across all districts.
Zone Size and Operations
Each zone will cover at least 50 acres. The operational model will support self-employment. It will also provide skill development programs and internships.
Apprenticeships and wage-based employment will be offered. This will be linked to industries within or near the zones. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for swift action.
Government Statement
Chief Minister Adityanath called the zones a strong hub for youth employment. He directed officials to expedite land identification. The goal is to speed up implementation. This initiative aims to become an effective model for state growth.
