IGNOU Re-registration Deadline Extended to Feb 15, 2026

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for re-registration for the January 2026 session. Students applying for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programs now have until February 15, 2026 , to submit their forms. This is the second extension for the January 2026 cycle.

Previously, the deadline was January 31, 2026. The re-registration process is open to both Indian and international students.

Re-registration Details

Candidates must pay a fee of Rs 300 to complete the re-registration for ODL and online programs. The official portal for re-registration is onlinerr.ignou.ac.in .

Required Documents

During the application process, students need to upload several documents. These include a scanned photograph, signature, educational qualification certificates, and a category certificate if applicable. Students already registered with IGNOU can log in using their existing username and password.

For issues such as forgotten login details or unreceived One-Time Passwords (OTPs), students should contact their respective Regional Centres. Support is available for resetting accounts and updating contact information.

  • Click on the ‘IGNOU January 2026 re-registration’ link.
  • Enter your IGNOU user ID, password, and the security pin.
  • Click ‘Login’ to proceed.
  • Fill out the application form and select your desired courses.
  • Pay the re-registration fee online.
  • Submit the completed form and save a printout for your records.
