Investment and Future Plans

GEDU Global Education group plans substantial investment in India. The group intends to invest an additional £150-200 million over the next three years. This investment targets both India’s school and higher education landscape. A second Queen Elizabeth’s School campus in India is planned for 2027-28 .

Educational Philosophy

The Gurugram campus will offer K12 education, from kindergarten to Class 12. Neil Enright, Headmaster of Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, highlighted the values of aspiration, dedication, and active community engagement at their UK school. He stated these values would resonate in Gurugram.

The curriculum aims to provide rigorous study across subjects. It will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Holistic development includes extracurricular activities and character building, preparing students for broader success.

Alignment with National and International Visions

The launch aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative. This government vision aims for India to achieve developed nation status by 2047. K12 education is critical for preparing individuals who will enter the workforce by this time. These graduates will contribute to India’s role as an economic, political, and cultural superpower.

The initiative also complements the UK-India Vision 2035 . This bilateral roadmap aims to internationalize education between the two countries. Alison Barrett, Country Director for India at the British Council, stated this. It helps young people gain understanding of both modern UK and India. This collaboration aims to build trust and equip students with global skills.

Impact for Students and Families

Students in Gurugram will gain access to a UK-heritage curriculum. This offers an international perspective on education. It prepares them for a competitive global workforce and higher education. The school aims to foster high aspirations among its students, mirroring its UK counterpart.
