NIFTEE 2026 Correction Window Opens: Edit Forms by Jan 21

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the application correction window for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination 2026 (NIFTEE). Registered candidates can now make changes to their submitted online application forms. The facility is available until January 21, 2026 . Candidates must access the correction portal on the official NTA NIFTEE website atexams.nta.nic.in/niftee.

The NTA confirmed the NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 examination date. The entrance exam will be conducted on February 8, 2026 . Examinations will take place at various designated centers located in cities across India.

Correction Window Details

This correction facility offers a one-time opportunity for registered candidates. The NTA advises all candidates to review their applications thoroughly. Make all necessary changes carefully, as no further opportunities for correction will be provided after the January 21 deadline. Incorrect information could lead to issues later in the admission process.

Changes in specific application fields may incur an additional fee. For instance, if a candidate modifies their declared category (e.g., General, OBC, SC, ST) or their Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) status, an excess fee may apply. Similarly, altering the chosen programme could also lead to an additional charge. The NTA stated that any excess payment made will be refunded to the candidate.

Allowed Fields for Modification

Candidates can modify several key sections within their NIFTEE 2026 application forms. These include personal identifying information and academic history. The NTA permits changes to either the father’s name or the mother’s name. Candidates should choose only one of these fields for correction if required.

Academic qualification details are fully editable. This includes all information entered for Class 10, Class 12, graduation, and post-graduation records. Candidates can update examination preferences, specifically both the examination state and the examination city previously selected. This allows for adjustments based on current residence or convenience.

Further personal details such as date of birth, gender, category, and sub-category are also open for correction. All fields within these sections can be modified. Additionally, candidates have the option to add a new programme or change their existing programme selection. An additional fee will be charged for any changes made to the programme selection.

Non-Editable Fields

The NTA has clearly outlined fields that cannot be changed during this correction window. These non-editable details include the candidate’s mobile number, email address, and permanent address. Uploaded images such as the candidate’s signature are also locked from modification. Importantly, candidates cannot change their own name through this facility.
