HP PAT, LEET 2026 Exam Dates Announced: Apply from March

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Technical Education (HPTBE) has announced exam dates for the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT 2026) and the Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET 2026) . These state-level entrance exams lead to admissions for government and private polytechnic institutes in Himachal Pradesh. The HP PAT 2026 exam will be held on May 17 . The HP LEET 2026 exam is scheduled for May 24 . These tests determine entry into the first and third semesters of diploma programs.

Application Process

Application forms for HP PAT 2026 will be released in March . Applications for HP LEET 2026 will begin in April . Candidates must apply online through the official HPTBE website, hptechboard.com , once the application period opens.

Exam Schedule

The HP PAT 2026 exam will run from 10 am to 1 pm . This exam is for first-year diploma admissions. The HP LEET 2026 exam will be conducted from 10 am to 12 pm . This test is for direct entry into the third semester of polytechnic diploma programs.

Eligibility Criteria for HP PAT 2026

Candidates must have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 35% marks to be eligible for HP PAT 2026 . Students currently appearing for their final Class 10 examinations may also apply. All applicants must be residents of Himachal Pradesh.

Admissions are for polytechnic institutes approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) approved by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Candidate eligibility will be cross-examined during the physical reporting stage for document verification.

Previous Exam Performance

In the previous year, two candidates achieved the first rank in the HP PAT exams. They scored 540 marks out of a maximum of 600. This indicates the competitive nature of the admissions process.
