Assam will conduct a special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET 2026) to recruit teachers for Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar language mediums. Applications for this exam begin on January 7 . Higher Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced the special TET, targeting lower and upper primary level teaching positions.
This initiative addresses a critical shortage of teachers in these four regional language mediums.
