Dehradun, Uttarakhand – The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has opened registration for the third round of Uttarakhand National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG 2025) counselling. This process facilitates admissions to Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programs across the state. The deadline for online registration and fee submission is January 5, 2025, at 4 PM .

Registration and Fee Details
Prospective medical students applying for MD and MS courses through NEET PG 2025 must complete their registration online. The registration period runs from January 2 to January 5 . A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 6,500 is mandatory for all new applicants. Payments can be made using credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Candidates who previously registered for rounds 1 or 2 and are seeking a seat upgradation do not need to pay the registration fee again. They are eligible to participate in round 3 counselling directly.
Seat Surrender and Withdrawal
The deadline to surrender, withdraw, or resign from a seat allocated in previous counselling rounds (round 1 and round 2) is also January 5 . Candidates wishing to release their previously held seat must complete this process by the specified deadline to be eligible for round 3 allocations or to avoid penalties.
Choice Filling and Locking
Following the release of the state merit list, the choice filling and locking window for round 3 will commence. Candidates can submit and lock their preferred college and course choices between January 6 and January 8 . Failure to lock choices by the deadline will result in exclusion from the seat allocation process for this round.

Separately, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 171 additional Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) seats for NEET PG counselling 2025. This approval followed appeals, potentially increasing the total available seats for postgraduate medical education nationwide.
