The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct a special stray vacancy round for undergraduate dental seats under the Karnataka National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) counselling 2025. This round is scheduled for December 31 . The decision to hold this special round follows the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extending the final admission deadline for undergraduate medical courses for the 2025 academic year.
Purpose of the Special Round
This special stray vacancy round aims to fill dental seats that remained vacant after the regular stray vacancy process. It also addresses seats where previously allotted candidates failed to secure admission. A total of five dental seats are available through this specific process. These include one seat under the General Merit (GM) category, two seats under the Other (OTH) category, and two seats under the Open (OPN) category.
Candidate Eligibility and Reporting Instructions

Eligible candidates must report in person to the KEA office located in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. The reporting window is on December 31 , between 10 am and 11:30 am .
Required Documentation
Candidates must bring several key documents for verification and admission processing. These include all original academic and identification documents. A verification slip, previously issued by the KEA authority, is also mandatory. Additionally, candidates require a Demand Draft for the applicable college fee. This Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of the Executive Director, KEA, Bengaluru.
Option Entry and Seat Allotment Process
Following the document verification, candidates will be permitted to enter their options online. Option entry is specifically for OTH and OPN quota seats. This window will open on December 31 , running from 12 noon to 1 pm . KEA will publish the final seat allotment results on the same day at 2 pm . Allotments will be strictly based on candidate merit and seat availability at the time of option entry.
