The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application process for the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE 2026). This computer-based entrance exam is scheduled for April 25, 2026 , and will be conducted in 120 cities nationwide. The NCHM JEE facilitates admissions to BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration programs for the academic year 2026-27.
Application Process and Deadlines
Interested candidates can submit their applications via the official website,exams.nta.nic.in/nchm-jee/. The final date for application submission is January 25 .
Application fees vary by category. General and OBC-NCL candidates must pay Rs 1,000. General-EWS candidates are required to pay Rs 700. Candidates from SC, ST, and Third Gender categories pay Rs 450.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, students must have passed Class 10 and 12, or an equivalent examination, from a recognized educational board. English must have been one of the compulsory subjects. Students appearing for their Class 12 board exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply. However, these candidates must submit a valid pass certificate either at the time of admission or no later than September 30, 2026 .
NCHM JEE 2026 Exam Details
The NCHM JEE 2026 will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT). The exam duration is two hours, from 11 am to 1 pm. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi. Applicants must select their preferred medium during the application process.

The NCHM JEE 2026 question paper consists of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The distribution of questions across sections is as follows:

Participating Institutes
The NCHM JEE 2026 scores will be used to fill seats in 82 institutes nationwide. These include 21 central institutes of hotel management and 33 state government institutes. Additionally, one public sector undertaking, two PPP-run State Institutes of Hotel Management (SIHMs), and 25 private institutes of hotel management will admit students based on these scores.
