Navi Mumbai: Teachers Booked for Alleged Student Harassment

Two teachers from a private school in Navi Mumbai face charges for alleged harassment and assault of a 6-year-old student. Police registered a case following a complaint filed by the child’s parents. Allegations Detail Two Incidents

The complaint, lodged by the child’s parents, describes two distinct incidents of alleged abuse. The first reported event took place on November 14 . A teacher at the private school summoned a female student from another class. The teacher then instructed this student to slap the 6-year-old male student on his cheeks. The directive specified five to six slaps.

The teacher reportedly observed the assault. The teacher also allegedly laughed as the child was humiliated during the interaction. This account comes directly from the parents’ complaint, as cited by an official.

The second alleged incident occurred on November 28 . This took place during an English period. A different teacher reportedly struck the same 6-year-old student. The teacher used a metal compass box for the strike. The impact on the child’s face caused his lip to swell, according to the complaint.

Kamothe police station registered a case against the two teachers on Wednesday . This action followed a preliminary investigation into the parents’ formal complaint. Police booked the teachers under provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act .
