Meghalaya NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Counselling on Dec 18

SHILLONG – The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) will conduct the second round of Meghalaya NEET PG counselling for 2025 admissions on December 18 . This round aims to fill 12 postgraduate (PG) medical seats across 10 specialties for the 2025–26 academic year.

Counselling will occur from 11 AM in hybrid mode, both online and offline. The venue for offline participation is the Conference Room, UGMC Building, NEIGRIHMS. Provisional seat allotment results will be published on December 19 .

Seat Allocation and Eligibility

NEIGRIHMS seeks to fill 12 PG seats for MD, MS, and diploma courses. A total of 260 eligible candidates are competing for these positions based on the Meghalaya NEET PG merit list.

Only candidates achieving the 50th percentile or above in NEET PG 2025 qualify to participate in this second counselling round.

Seats are open in 10 medical specialties. These include:

  • Forensic Medicine
  • Microbiology
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Pathology
  • Biochemistry
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pharmacology
  • Anaesthesiology
  • Physiology

Several departments hold Letters of Permission (LOP) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Other departments have full recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Online Counselling Participation

Candidates choosing to attend counselling online must confirm their participation by 4 PM on December 17 . Confirmation requires sending an email from their registered email ID to ar-academic@neigrihms.gov.in.

The institute clarified that confirmations sent from non-registered email addresses will lead to disqualification from the counselling process.

Admission Formalities and Fee

The list of provisionally selected candidates will be published on the institute’s official website on December 19 . Selected candidates must physically report to NEIGRIHMS by 4 PM on December 24 .

This reporting is mandatory for document verification and completing admission formalities. An admission fee of Rs 69,000 is required. This fee must be paid via NEFT or RTGS within the stipulated timeline.

Failure to report or complete admission formalities by the deadline will result in the automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
