The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has issued comprehensive guidelines for the Class 12 Supplementary Semester 3 and Semester 4 examinations, scheduled from February 12 to 27, 2026 . These instructions detail admit card procedures, permitted items, and examination day protocols for all candidates.
Admit Card Distribution
Admit cards for the Semester-IV and Semester-III Supplementary Examination 2026 will be available online. Heads of Institutions must download and print these using their Council portal login credentials.
For the Higher Secondary Examination 2026 (Old System), admit cards will be distributed offline from designated camps on January 28, 2026 . All candidates must present a valid admit card for entry to the examination venue.
Candidates unable to produce an admit card on the first day may receive provisional entry after submitting a written undertaking. Failure to do so will result in examination cancellation.
Permitted and Prohibited Items
Candidates must carry their valid admit card, registration certificate, and a blue or black ink pen. They may also bring a pencil, eraser, sharpener, and ruler in a transparent pouch. A transparent water bottle and a transparent clipboard are also permitted.
Only analogue watches are allowed. Calculators are restricted to examinees taking the Higher Secondary Examination 2026 under the Old System.
Prohibited items include books, notes, papers, most calculators, pen drives, electronic pens, mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, cameras, bags, health bands, and any other electronic gadget.
Examination Day Protocols
Candidates are prohibited from appearing in subjects not listed on their admit card, except with explicit approval from authorities. Reporting to the venue on time, as per the schedule, is mandatory.
Parents or guardians may accompany candidates to the main gate. They must leave the premises at least 15 minutes before the examination begins.
Candidates must carefully read all instructions provided on the question paper, OMR sheet, and admit card. All required details on the answer script or OMR must be filled out accurately.
Invigilators will sign the answer script or OMR after verification. Only blue or black ballpoint pens are permitted for filling OMR sheets; gel pens and fountain pens are not allowed. OMR sheets require careful handling; folding, tearing, wetting, or dirtying them is prohibited. No rough work is allowed directly on the OMR sheet.
Examination Bell Timings
Bell timings for the WBCHSE Class 12 Supplementary Semester 3 and Semester 4 examinations are set as follows:
- 15 minutes before the exam starts
- At the scheduled start of the exam
- 5 minutes before the exam ends
- At the scheduled end of the exam
