NEET SS 2024 Refunds Today; NEET SS 2025 Exam Slips & Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the refund process for security deposits submitted during the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2024 counselling. This crucial step began today. Separately, the refund process for candidates involved in MDS counselling 2025 will commence on December 15 .

NEET SS 2024 Refund Process Underway

The MCC is now processing the return of security deposits. These deposits were collected from candidates participating in the NEET SS 2024 counselling rounds. The security deposit serves as a commitment fee during the seat allocation process for super speciality medical courses. Refunds are typically issued to candidates who were not allotted a seat or withdrew from the counselling process as per official rules.

HLL, the official financial custodian of the MCC, is responsible for processing all refunds. Candidates who submitted a security deposit for NEET SS 2024 counselling should monitor their bank accounts for these transactions.

The MCC has issued a strong advisory: candidates must keep their bank accounts and associated cards active until the refund process is fully completed. Failure to do so will severely impact the refund timeline. If a bank account is closed or inactive, the bankers cannot process the refund successfully. This leads to a ‘failed refund’ status.

Rectifying a failed refund is a complex and lengthy procedure. Bankers require significant time to identify and return these amounts to the financial custodian. Furthermore, legal and administrative formalities are necessary to initiate a refund to an alternative bank account. This entire re-initiation process can take an extended period. The MCC has explicitly stated that neither the financial custodian nor the MCC will be held responsible for such delays stemming from inactive bank accounts.

All inquiries related to refunds or payments must be directed to the designated email address:financemcc@lifecarehll.com. The Medical Counselling Committee will not address direct queries from candidates regarding these financial matters.
