The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for the NEET UG stray vacancy option entry. Candidates now have until 11 am on December 15 to submit their choices for medical and dental courses. This update supersedes the previous deadline of December 13.
KEA announced the extension following directives from the Hon’ble High Court. The decision also considers developments after the third round of seat allotment results. This includes a final opportunity for certain candidates to secure their allotted seats.
Final Opportunity for Candidates
After the third round results, KEA published a list of candidates. These individuals had paid the required fee and downloaded their seat confirmation slips. However, they failed to report to their allotted colleges for admission. KEA has now provided these candidates with a final chance to join their respective colleges.
If these candidates do not complete their admission, vacant seats will join the stray vacancy round pool. This ensures all available seats are considered for allotment.
Eligibility for Stray Vacancy Option Entry
Candidates seeking to enter options in the stray vacancy round must meet specific payment criteria. Those who have not yet paid the medical course fee can do so online. Payments must be made to the designated KEA account.
After completing the fee transfer, candidates must submit their payment details. This submission requires including their CET number. Details can be sent directly to KEA or emailed to keavikasana@gmail.com . This step is mandatory to become eligible for the Karnataka NEET UG stray vacancy option entry.
Stray Vacancy Round Results
The provisional results for the Karnataka NEET UG 2025 stray vacancy round seat allotment will be declared shortly. KEA expects to publish these results after 4 pm on December 15 . Candidates should check the KEA website for updates.
